About and services
I'm Jeremy Barrett. I've been teaching high school honors and AP® math courses in Chattanooga, TN for 25 years.
Over that time I've worked with a lot of strong students, and I've noticed that the ones who pull ahead usually aren't the ones who work the most hours. They're the ones who understand why the math works, so new material connects to what they already know. That's what I try to help students build.

If you're in a different high school math course, ask. I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person.
How sessions work
Sessions are one-on-one and held online. They can also be held at a mutually convenient location in Chattanooga, TN. You bring your questions, the topics you're about to start, or a set of problems you want to push on, and we work through them together. I'll ask you to explain your thinking, because that's usually where the real learning happens.
Before you book
Students get the most out of sessions when they're comfortable with Algebra 1 skills and willing to do the work between sessions. If you're not sure whether that's you, send me a note or give me a call or text at 423-451-MATH and we can talk it through.
